Covid-19 interfered with just about every possible plan anyone and everyone had this year. As my heart broke for my friends and family in New York and Los Angeles, I was grateful we had made the move to New Hampshire in 2017. While we experienced our own version of lockdown, this summer things were able to reopen in New England quite a bit, and we jumped at the chance for a much needed change of scenery in Maine. Here's where we stayed and a few other places we enjoyed during our stay. AIRbNB: Private Quarry with Ocean viewThis was the perfect Airbnb for our stay because the kids could swim right in the quarry (which is no less than 80 feet deep almost immediately). Also, because of Covid, we ate all of our meals here and so we really appreciated the spacious living room and kitchen. There is a completely private bedroom with an insane jetted tub (HUGE) and then a loft bedroom and another bathroom with beautiful shower on the second floor. It was big enough that I didn't wake anyone else when I woke early to enjoy my coffee on the deck outside facing the quarry. We will absolutely return to this property - the pictures on Airbnb do not do it justice! FOOD |
